STAY AWAY FROM THIS PRODUCT by J. Baggett
I am a mother of 5 and my husband and I were shocked to find out that we were going to have our fifth when our fourth was only 6 months old. As such, we started looking for double strollers because we knew we would need one. I have a bad back and I needed to make sure the stroller was light, easy to manuver, and user friendly. My husband and I purchased the item via APO (My husband is active duty military) and we received it very quickly. Our daughter was born 3 months later and we had the stroller stored until her birth. We have used it for just short of a month and we have had nothing but problems with it. The center bar has separated from the main handle because the screw that held the assembly together broke! When folding the stroller, the left rear bar sticks and we have to beat the thing before it will release and fold. When we bought this item, the specifications said that it can be opened and closed with one hand, which is a total farce! It will open with one hand AFTER you release 2 latches on the left and right sides of the handle. It also takes 2 hands to close it, again latches on the left and right sides. The width of this stroller makes it a chore to enter a standard doorway. It barely fits! If the wheels are slightly left or right, it will catch on the doorjam! My husband has done nothing but complain about the harness for our older son. It very complicated and time consuming to get a child in and out! I have started looking at different and CHEAPER brands and have found one that I will live with. The Per Perego line is OVER PRICED and poorly built. I also bought a car seat from the same line of products and I could have got the same style for a third of the price. Buyers BEWARE!

Loved it early on—HATE it Now! by D. trombly
When I first bought this my son was a newborn and my daughter was 22 months (and very small for her age). I have no major complaints other than the stickers with the name peeled off (not good for resale). Now, the kids are not quite five and turning 3. They both like to ride in a stroller, which makes mall trips so much nicer for me. However, I hate this stroller. Maybe because they are heavier, it is getting harder to turn. I always have problems with the front wheels and getting the darn thing to go in the direction I want. One of the reasons I purchased this over the COMBI double is due to the large basket underneath. When a lot is put in it, the fabric drags on the ground. DO NOT purchase this product; no significant redesign has been made since my model. Look at the COMBI or MACLAREN instead.

Aria Twin 6040 is fabulous by Danelle Jones
I take care of a 3 month old and a 2 year old. Finally a double stroller that is functional for such a disparity in ages. I can use the car seat for the 3 month old in the 60 section and my 2 year old goes into the 40 section. The stroller turns very well. It is absolutely the lightest double stroller on the market. The twin shades are independent in operation. The large storage area under the seats is nice. I have purchased separate third party hanging bags for the back of each seat. It is very easy to open up and fold up once you disengage the side flip locks.
I just wish the trays were larger and allowed a cup to go on the trays. I also wish the cup holder for adults on the handle was stronger and less apt to pop off. I have purchased a third party cup holder.
I looked at double strollers for months and stopped everyone I was with a double stroller before I decided to buy this one.
I would absolutely make the same decision and buy this again.

Huge Waste of Money by Donna Stanfield
I am extremely disappointed with this stroller. We are a low income family so this was a huge purchase for us, and we have been let down. We fell in love with the ease of use of the stroller and the size. Since we had two little ones and were expecting to have more, we figured this would be a good investment. We have had this for only a year and have had numerous problems. It’s already wobbly, one seat is broken, and it’s just a wimp. We use it less than once a week, and our kids are very light weight. It can’t even handle small bumps on the side walk without giving everyone a jolt. I know that sometimes higher cost means higher quality, but not with this product..all you are paying for is the name- which in my opinion makes me look like a money spending fool since it’s such a disgusting waste of money.

Mission Impossible by Francesca Greenwood
We purchased this for a recent trip to NYC from Tampa…because we didn’t want the stroller to get scuffed up etc…we’ll my husband and I tried in VAIN and could not for the life of us get this to fit…it was very much like trying to squeeze 10lbs of potatoes into a 5lb bag…no room whatsoever to get this stroller into the bag…it wasn’t happening…so we left sans stroller and returned it for full credit this fell short of Phil and Ted’s usually good products.

The secret to getting it in the bag! by Travelling Mom
Flying with my two kids, 1 and 3 years old, so I wanted to bring my E3 with me. I fought for awhile to get it in the bag, read one of the reviews on this site and it fit no problem. Here’s what I did:
Remove the front wheel- very easy to do- just pull the knob out and yank the wheel off
Remove the adult handlebar- again, just push the buttons in and pull it off.
Place in bag with front wheel (or where it would have been) on top.
Velcro the rear axles in place, zip the bag, then velcro the semi-circle by the front wheel area.
I even fit my cup holder, second seat, and all the pieces I removed in the bag. Love that i can wheel it through the airport.
I love my Phil and Teds stroller- I haven’t had any problems with it. The bag is great- compact yet protects the stroller.

E3 double stoller travel bag by S. Grisham
I purchased this bag to take my E3 Phil & Ted’s stroller with doubles seat with us to Hawaii, and it worked great! The bag itself is durable and well made. It takes a little time to get the stroller into the bag, and I highly recommend practicing putting it in prior to going to the airport, especially since it came with no instructions.

Tips I learned: Be sure the rear wheels are not locked. Remove the parent handle bar, child handle bar, front tire, and any other accessories before putting the stroller in the bag. Lay the collapsed stroller face down in the bag so the front wheel axle is on top. I took a rag to cover the axle of the front wheel so not to get grease on anything. Then you simply pile on the doubles seat, front wheel and handle bars. I have the hang bag which also fit in the travel bag. It’s snug, but it all fits.

I did not use the shoulder strap and just left it detached in the travel bag. I had no problems checking the bag at the gate and left the rear wheels on the entire time. Also, it fit through security scanners.

All in all, the bag is a bit expensive, but well worth the peace of mind knowing that my stroller was less likely to be damaged on all 5 airplanes it went on. The only problem we had with it was w

really snug but fits everything by gfractal
got this for the sport buggy. while everything fit it was a tight squeeze. i was able to cram a lot in there (sport buggy, doubles kit, rain cover and even our hanging high chair). the biggest difficulty was the stroller itself. the length of the bag is the issue. depth is great. i removed the child’s handlebar, the front wheel and the doubles kit and could not fit the stroller at first. the issue was the parent handlebar. it’s literally just an extra few inches in length when the stroller is folded but it’s enough that you can’t zip it closed. i didn’t remove the parent handlebar but i did rotate it completely so it was mostly folded back onto the stroller. i would definitely not recommend trying this at the airport. pack the stroller before you go and just zip the rear wheels into the bag at the last minute (get something like the ergo baby for traveling through the airport). I put the pins that go through the rear wheels into a separate grocery bag and tied them to the stroller as I was worried they would fall out during the trip. The bag has two holes where the rear wheels can stick out. had no problems checking the bag.

i would give it a higher rating but so much of the stroller has to be disassembled or rotated in funny directions that it’s not a zip and go procedure.

The bag is snug, but fits…. by TigerMommie
I just wanted to add my experience with the bag. I had trouble figuring out how to get the Phil and Ted Sport in this travel bag, and it is indeed a snug fit, but it definitely works!

In order to put the stroller in the bag, you need to take off the front wheel, and fold the stroller as flat as possible….which includes tucking the handle under. I noticed that you also have to make sure you put the stroller in the right way, because the stroller fits better if it’s facing the right way in the bag. This is just something you have to experiment with. The bag makes the Phil and Ted more compact for travel and storage and while it’s not the easiest thing for daily use, it serves it’s purpose for gate checks and such. But again, you really need to practice putting the stroller in the bag.
Take it from me, I used it while traveling alone with an 11 month old. And I had to manage my son, the stroller, car seat and 2 carry on bags. It does work.

It works. by Jennifer
I purchased this double jogging stoller rain cover for my double BOB stoller.
It is a lot cheaper than the BOB cover (which costs about $50). Obviously it isn’t
the same quality as the BOB cover, but for 13$ with free shipping, it can’t be beat.
It covers all parts of the stroller, and velcros in nicely around the front wheel.
I figure, if the weather is bad enough to justify the heavy duty BOB cover, I won’t be out
in it anyway! This cover is just fine for the light sprinkles I’ll be out in.
Plus it comes with a bag to store it in which is a nice addition!

Works great, poor fit by M. Kuzmic
I have a Baby Trend Expedition Double Jogger, and this cover is a very poor fit. It has velcro in several places, but it is almost impossible to actually attach it around the handles, and cannot be attached at the front wheel at all. It stays in place reasonably well despite the poor fit, and has been very useful on multiple occasions in our unpredictable Pacific NW weather. The plastic did get a tiny crack in one place when it was cold and I was folding it up.

Horrible experience! by activedadof2
Originally, we were very happy with this stroller. It’s lightweight, easy to use, and very convenient. Like another poster, our rear right wheel fell off for no known reason. At first, we wre pleased with the customer service, as it seemed we would be getting a replacement part right away. This was 5 weeks ago.

We are STILL waiting for a replacement part for the rear right wheel. My wife has made several phone calls to Baby Trend’s customer service number. Each time she calls, she is told something different. First call: “It will be shipped right away.” Second call: “Our warehouse just moved, so it took longer than we thought. It will ship on Friday or Monday.” Third call (to make sure it really shipped): “It will go out Fed Ex on Wednesday (1 1/2 weeks later) with other shipments that have been delayed due to the move.” Fourth call: “I see that it has shipped, but I can’t determine whether it went out USPS or Fed Ex. I will check with my supervisor and call you back.” No call back. Fifth call: “It shipped, and it went out USPS. The parts are too small to go out Fed Ex.” What?!!! My wife left a message on the supervisor’s voice mail…two days later, still no call back. Sixth call, trying to reach the supervisor, but reached a service rep instead, who checked the account: “I see that the parts went out Fed Ex. Here is the tracking number…” Another message left with supervisor.

We are completely frustrated by the incompetence of the customer service department. Trying to reach anyone has been a challenge. There has been a wait time of about 10 minutes each time my wife tries to call. In addition to the phone calls, my wife has used the Baby Trend website to email questions and concerns. As of this evening there has been no reply. One was sent a few days ago, the other a couple of weeks ago. When she asked the service rep about the email, she was told there is typically a response within 48 hours.

Although this product was fantastic before the cheap-o plastic wheel broke, we STRONGLY CAUTION anyone before purchasing this product. If anything goes wrong with it, expect to not have it in use for OVER A MONTH!!!

We use this stroller nearly constantly by Christopher D. Hundhausen
My wife and I have been quite pleased with our BabyTrend Snap-and-Go stroller and FlexLoc Infant Car Seat. We have used these items since our daughter came home from the hospital over four months ago, so this review is based on quite a bit of use.

We concur with others who have noted the portability and foldability of the stroller. We have found the stroller/carseat combo to be quite easy to travel with on both car and plane trips. The car seat, while a bit challenging to get out of a car (owing to the difficulty of moving the bar from the “ride” position to the “carry” position — it’s too stiff), has proved comfortable and reliable. In fact, our daughter now prefers being in her car seat to being in any other contraption we own–crib, bouncer, and swing. She actually sleeps better in this car seat than in her crib!

Unexpectedly, we use the stroller/carseat combo extensively in our home. It allows us to transport our daughter easily from room to room, to rock her to sleep (a gentle back and forth push works best), and to allow her to be part of the action wherever we are (it puts her closer to our level).

All in all, I’d highly recommend this stroller with the BabyTrend Flex Loc car seat. Since we use the stroller so much in the house, we are planning to buy a second unit so that we don’t have to clean the wheels off every time we come in the house with it!

Great alternative to bulky travel systems! by M. Maciejewski
This stroller is great! We bought the Baby Trend Flex-Loc car seat for our newborn son due to the fact that we have two year old twins already and with their car seats (even the Sunshine Radian seats, the narrowest convertible infant/toddler car seats on the market) we could not get the Graco car seat and base that we already own to fit. Since the Baby Trend is clearly not compatible with the stroller that was part of our Graco travel system we needed to buy another stroller and really did not want to spend a ton of money since we already have the Graco stroller and will likely buy a lightweight stroller once the baby is old enough.

We decided to buy the Baby Trend snap-and-go stroller and I have to say it’s one of the best baby gear decisions we’ve made! This stroller is so lightweight, portable, and convenient. I can easily lift it into the back of my SUV unlike our Graco stroller. It comes nearly fully assembled so the remaining assembly (attaching the wheels, fitting the parent console on, and attaching the back part of the stroller bag onto the support frame) is quick and easy. The stroller opens and folds very easily and locks with a single red latch that is easy to operate with one hand. I have not had any issues with the wheels or tipping as other reviewers stated. I think the stroller is actually very stable. The stroller maneuvers much more smoothly than I expected as well. The stroller is compatible with several models of car seats, but be sure to check before you buy if you already have your car seat or you can buy the stroller and then find a car seat that is compatible using the owner’s guide included with the stroller.

Worked Great for Me! by NSHanks21
I absolutely loved using this Snap ‘n’ Go and was sad when I had to stop using it. It was so easy to open and close and pop the infant carrier in and out of. I did have a Baby Trend carrier, but my sister had a Graco and still had success with her Snap ‘n’ Go. I used it for about 9 months until my son grew out of his infant carrier. In that time, I never had a problem with wheels falling off or my child tipping out or anything like that. We mostly kept it in the back of our trunk of our compact car (which it’s nice that it’s small enough to do that) and used our jogging stroller for walks, etc… but we did take this one on vacations (airplanes) so if something was going to break, I would think it would have.

I highly recommend this one because of its price (we found a new one on Craigslist for about 20 bucks) but overall, I recommend ANY stroller frame as opposed to a travel system. It’s light and small and can manuever anywhere. LOVE it.

Not a Match for Peg Perego by Zwarych 3
Got one as a gift and now have to return it. It is not as “universal” as it states. The only way you can keep a Peg Perego Primo Viaggio car seat from completely falling off is to use a strap that it somes with. The car seat does not lock onto anything, but merely rests on the bar. The problem with having to strap the car seat down is that the strap goes OVER the baby’s chubby legs and/or belly. It doesn’t leave much room for an infant once you secure the car seat to the stroller.

Pros and Cons by Recovering Academic
We bought this to be the compact/travelling stroller that would compensate for the not so compact Bugaboo stroller that we own. Friends of ours had bought one in a Europe a year ago and talked about how compact and easy to fold it was. Here’s our list of Pros and Cons:

Pros:
- Fun colors, overall very cool design
- Compact when folded, takes up minimal trunk space in our sedan
- The four-wheel American version isn’t as prone to tipping as the 3-wheel Euro version, which means you can also hold some items (bottle holder, small changing bag) off the handle bars without worrying that the stroller will fall over when you get the baby out
- Maneuvers nicely in narrow spaces, although clearly not as smooth a ride as the Bugaboo

Cons:
- Doesn’t recline; our 8 month old still falls asleep in it, but it doesn’t look like it’s comfortable enough to take her through a full nap of more than one hour on the road; we’re planning to buy a SnugHug neck support to see if this makes it more comfortable for naps
- The 3-wheel Euro model has the nice hydraulic “auto open” feature that the Quinny Buzz has, but the 4-wheel American version doesn’t; overall, the stroller is very easy to fold-down, but without the hydraulic action, it’s hard to open up (hard to explain, but you need to pull out this one piece in the back, and so far we haven’t been able to do it without turning the stroller on its side; that’s fine if the baby’s still in the car, but not if you’re just off an airplane and trying to unfold the stroller with the baby in your arms and people trying to get by)
- we were told by our friends that it was small enough to take on board the plane; that may be true, but it’s still pretty cumbersome; even with two of us travelling with the baby, it was too much of a pain to carry that plus our diaper bag, plus any work/reading stuff, so we checked it in at the gate

GREAT if downsizing strollers because your baby is getting older! by R. Jordan
I bought the $200. Quinny Zapp in Mandarin to replace my giant $500 Valco trimode with toddler seat (which I sold) because my 4 year old doesn’t ride in a stroller anymore. Having a giant, heavy stroller take up half my trunk was driving me crazy! So! As my husband puts it, I traded in the Escalade for the Carmengia. This little stroller really cruises! It turns with ease, folds so tiny, looks amazing, and has a nice wide seat, so my confinement-hating 19 month old actually enjoys riding in it. (He also enjoys sitting in it while watching TV…)

I bought a cute little stylish phone case that velcros to the handlebar to hold my phone and money (because you can’t hang anything heavy from the handles or it will tip) and a stroller bag that I velcro low on the back (so it doesn’t affect the balance) to hold some small shopping bags. It comes with a little mesh basket underneath that is big enough for one of those little take-along diaper bags, and maybe a bottle and a snack.

The bottom line, this is an AMAZING stroller if you want to ditch all the giant heavy baby gear and travel light around town.

Small when folded, sturdy when in use. by C. Barron
We bought the Zapp after reading that it would fit in the “boot” of our Mini Cooper with room to spare– and it sure does! A child needs to have pretty good head and neck control before using this stroller. But the stroller itself feels substantial and looks great! In the case it is a little heavier than I would like, but we bought this more for the size than the weight.

A very good travel stroller for jetsetters by GenXmom
The Zapp (US version) is a very good stroller for traveling types. The addition of the four-point ride for the US version (instead of the original three-pointer in the EU) has resolved any stationary or moving stability problems. The Zapp is light, but not too light like a cheap, flimsy umbrella stroller you’d find at the dollar store, and thus, it’s great for traveling or for small cars with even smaller trunks. It’s easy to push and maneuver, and it has good looks.

Will it replace my Bugaboo Gecko? No! It’s not as easy to drive one-handed since there is no handlebar, only handles. With the Bugaboo you can center one hand on the bar and maneuver it nicely one-handed. The other reason why my Zapp will not replace my Gecko is the ride. Bugaboos have primo suspension! When I push the Zapp on the street or sidewalk, it’s a bit rattly, and the wheels make *noticeable noise* almost like a shopping cart’s. At that moment I knew I was missing the utter silence and smoothness of a Bugaboo ride.

Since the Bugaboo does not travel as well (it takes a bigger, longer transport bag), I am recommending the Zapp for traveling and zipping in and out of international subways. Why didn’t Quinny call this the Quinny Zipp? Its light weight at around 15 1/2 pounds satisfies although my Gecko weighs only 18 pounds. Its vibrant color is oddly soothing. Its folding has a short learning curve, and since the Zapp comes with a travel bag and a bunch of accessories, it’s a *good value* for those who want to combine modern style and futuristic design with travel ease.

a great stroller - as long as you are not super-tall by L. Levine
I have the Quinny Zapp stroller in capri. So far, I’m very happy with it.

1) :-): I was so happy that I was able to assemble the stroller myself! (OK, I typically rely on my husband to bring out his tool box, ignore the instructions, and figure it out the manly man way.) I just identified the parts per the manual, followed the instructions, and pop, there it was!

2) :-): Sometimes, us mommies forget how to close or open the stroller, thanks to all the craziness going on. But the Zapp has the parts clearly marked to assist you in closing and opening the stroller. Making it a total breeze.

3) :-0: My husband has a uncomfortable time pushing this stroller because he needs to bend his back a bit, rather than be able to just stand up straight. So if you’re tall, don’t buy it without testing it out first.

4) :-): They’re really not kidding when they say that the Zapp is currently the smallest stroller out there. It takes up only a tiny chunk of space in my Volvo V50.

5) :-O: The storage unit capacity is minimal. And the storage basket is not easily accessible. So think twice before you take your baby out in this stroller on a shopping spree.

Overall, it’s a great deal.

How to Clean a Baby’s Bottle

Isn’t it so beautiful when baby falls asleep with a bottle in her mouth? Isn’t it so disgusting when you find a bottle of cheese the next morning?

Steps

  1. Make sure that when your child is asleep with the bottle, to quietly take it out of the crib, so that you won’t have cheese the next morning.
  2. Pour the excess milk into the sink, and rinse the bottle with warm water.
  3. Fill the bottle halfway and put a few drops of soap. Put on the nipple, close it up with your finger, and shake, shake, shake!
  4. Pour the suds and water out, get your sponge wet, put some soap on it, suds it up, and start scrubbing inside the bottle.
  5. Let the bottle sit and and take the nipple off the cap. Scrub that with soap, water and your fingers. Rinse and clean the cap.
  6. Rinse the bottle and nipple until there are no suds.
  7. Dry.

Alternate Method

  1. Empty the bottle and place it, upside down, in the top rack of your dishwasher. Run it through with the next batch of dishes. Viva la modern technology!

Tips

  • If the bottle contents are already gross, empty them into the toilet instead of the sink.

Warnings

  • Make sure there is no soap when you feed the milk to your baby.
